I truly do not know where to start on what this track means to me. It would be extremely easy to make this a very Hallmark-esque commentary, but I really do not like that concept.. So, let's try this..
"Better Off Dead" was brought into existence by my suicidal ideation. The thought processes of never feeling as though I was enough for this world. Thinking that I truly would be better off dead at times. That is the song in a nutshell.
In 2009, I was faced with things I never thought I would have to encounter. February 18th marks the anniversary of my last four brain surgeries. Two inpatient, two outpatient (yes, they're possible! Ha!) I fought like hell to make this year's anniversary something memorable. Every year since has brought bouts of depression and severe spiraling. I NEEDED TO MAKE THIS YEAR DIFFERENT!

"Destruction In My Wake" was originally slated to debut on this day in 2021. Mental health completely eroded that concept. Two years later, it brings me so much pleasure to present the next chapter of not only SIX SCARS, but for myself as well. So with that said; "three cheers to my death day. SIX CHEERS TO MY REBIRTH"
